The Cabinet condemns the brutal Israeli aggression on Syrian territory

Damascus, SANA – The Cabinet condemned on Tuesday the brutal Israeli aggression on Syrian territory, which shows how far this fascist entity has gone with its arrogance and disregard for all international laws, attacking residential areas and destroying infrastructure, including roads, communication systems, electricity and drinking water.

“The brutal aggression indicates that this criminal organization is seeking further escalation in the region,” caretaker Prime Minister Hussein Arnous said during a weekly cabinet meeting.

Arnous added: “The act also shows that the Israeli occupying power is in a difficult situation and is trying by all means to spread its internal political crises to the entire region, since its aggression against the Palestinian people cannot achieve any other goal than the killing of children and women.”

The Council expressed its condolences to the martyrs and wished a speedy recovery to the injured, while commending the efforts of the government authorities to repair the damaged facilities and restore them to operation as soon as possible.

On Sunday evening, the Israeli enemy carried out an air strike from northwest Lebanon, targeting several residential areas and leaving behind enormous material damage as well as numerous martyrs and injuries.
