Ana Navarro, host of The View, calls Tyreek Hill's arrest “outrageous and disgusting” and accuses Miami police of “abusing their power.”

Ana Navarro spoke out about Tyreek Hill's arrest, calling it “outrageous and disgusting.” The Miami Dolphins star was handcuffed and held on the ground after being stopped by police for speeding in his McLaren.

The 52-year-old television actress shared a video of the bodycam footage of the September 8 incident on her Instagram page, accused Miami-Dade police officers of “abusing their power” and called for her to be fired.

Ana posted the clip for her 792,000 followers and wrote: “This happened in my hometown. This is outrageous and disgusting. It hurts even more because it is Latinos who are abusing their power and using it against black people.”

“If this can happen to a star @dolphins player driving to the stadium, it can happen to anyone. Shame on them. I want them fired. Now. They are a disgrace to law enforcement,” she ranted.

Ana's fans immediately commented on the post. One claimed, “The cops let the situation escalate and get out of control,” and a second said, “His only crime. Driving while black. I'm disgusted.”

A third echoed The View host's sentiments, commenting, “Thank you Anna!!!! You need to be fired immediately,” and a fourth added, “Fired and SUED AND charged with a hate crime.”

Another person asked, “Why did it take so many cops to stop a car?” and someone else commented, “Police should be trained to de-escalate situations and not engage in power plays. This is a star player for the Miami Dolphins who has done absolutely nothing to deserve this treatment. Now imagine our children in this situation.”

On Monday, dramatic bodycam footage emerged of the moment Tyreek was arrested by police and pinned to the ground near Hard Rock Stadium.

The wide receiver was handcuffed en route to the Dolphins' season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars. “Take me to jail, brother. Do what you have to do,” Tyreek told officers.

Police officers were then heard telling Tyreek to “stop crying” after dragging him from his car and pushing him face down on the street.

“If we tell you to do something, you do it. Do you understand? Not what you want, but what we tell you. You're a little bit damn confused,” an officer told him.

A police union in Florida claimed that Tyreek was driving dangerously when he was stopped in Miami on Sunday and that he was handcuffed because he refused to cooperate.

However, Tyreek said he had “no idea” what the reason for his detention was, while his agent Drew Rosenhaus claimed the football player had been charged with reckless driving and driving without a license.

Speaking about the incident, Tyreek said he “went from 0 to 100 in an instant,” telling NBC Nightly News, “If I wasn't Tyreek Hill, God knows… worst case scenario, I would have been shot or incarcerated.”

The Dolphins called the video “both maddening and heartbreaking.” The team vowed to stand by Tyreek and called for “swift and decisive action” against the officers who were guilty of “overly aggressive,” “violent” and “despicable” behavior.

Meanwhile, former police officer and current conservative social media influencer Brandon Tatum has revealed that Tyreek made a big mistake in the incident by rolling his windows back up after the stop.

Brandon pointed out that Tyreek had rolled up his window in front of the police and said, “You rolled the window down and rolled it back up. Why are you mad at them for speeding? Roll down your window.”

In a video on his YouTube channel, Brandon spoke about the incident, defended the police officers and accused Tyreek: “You are lying to the world.” Now the body-worn camera [footage] came out: “I have no idea why they handcuffed me” – the police officer told you.

“He actually warned you and then said, 'I'm going to pull you out of the car, keep the window down.' Why are you rolling the window up?” Brandon continued.

“This is a safety issue for officers. You don't know this man. He could be launching an attack right now. Leave the window down. They asked you a simple question. You are the culprit, not them.”

Tyreek told CNN that he rolled up the window so that passersby would not recognize him during the whole incident.

“I don't want to make a scene because if I roll down the window, passersby and drivers will know it's me and start taking pictures,” he said.

“I didn't want to make a scene at all. I just wanted to buy the ticket and then go and have a great Sunday.”

Following the incident, Miami-Dade Police Director Stephanie Daniels announced Sunday that she had ordered an internal investigation and that one of the officers involved had been placed on administrative duties pending the outcome of the incident.

“We are aware of the recent arrest of Miami Dolphins player Tyreek Hill by officers of the Miami-Dade Police Department,” she said in a statement.

“I have requested an immediate review of all the details of the incident, and we are also reviewing available body camera footage. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.”

“I am committed to transparency and accountability to the community in all situations involving my officers,” Daniels added.

At least one of the officers who arrested Tyreek did not know who the wide receiver was – another officer had to inform him.
