Tanglewood Park: Ottawa police investigate shooting at Woodfield Drive Park

Ottawa police are investigating after several shots were fired at the entrance to Tanglewood Park in the southwest of the city.

According to police, patrol officers in the area of ​​Merivale Road and Woodfield Drive heard possible gunshots around 10:30 p.m. on Monday.

Officers found “several shell casings and other evidence” near the entrance to Tanglewood Park on Woodfield Drive.

“According to available information, several vehicles fled the area before police arrived,” police said.

“At this time, no victims have been identified and no victims have been treated in hospitals in the Ottawa area. If anyone knows of an injured person, please call 9-1-1.”

A spokesman for the Ottawa Paramedic Service said paramedics at the scene did not treat any patients.
