Dead Island 2: Ultimate Edition dated, co-op horde mode on the way

Anyone who wants to get their hands on the Ultimate Edition of Dead Island 2 can now mark down a date. A co-op horde mode is also on the way.

Dambuster Studios, together with PLAION, is releasing an Ultimate Edition of the zombie action game Dead Island 2 – and now it has been decided when you can buy it. Those interested can pull out their calendars and mark October 22, 2024 in red; that is the day the extensive edition will be available.

The Ultimate Edition not only includes the main game, but also the two story expansions “House” and “SoLA”. There are also all kinds of cosmetic items and weapons, including the brand new weapon pack, which is inspired by a crossover from Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.

• Red's Demise Package
• all six Slayer premium skin packages

The new patch 6 for the game was also announced, which will be made available free of charge to all owners of a game version and includes a cooperative horde mode called “Neighborhood Watch”. This part was developed by the Hamburg studio Fishlabs in cooperation with Dambuster.

As members of the Bobcats, a trio of college survivors, you must defend your fraternity house in the Venice Canals against waves of zombies, using new abilities, weapons and – for the first time in the series – nasty traps.

Finally, there is also the popular New Game+ game mode to explore, thanks to which you can start a new run with your buildings and equipment.
