Indersdorfer family is now online

The S. family's fiber optic drama has come to an end: After two and a half years of waiting, countless emails and phone calls with Deutsche Glasfaser, and several appointments with technicians, Christina S. and Stefan S. are finally online in their house in Indersdorf.

Indersdorf – Deutsche Glasfaser explained the delays by saying that the “situation on site is extremely complex”. The company bought the fiber optic network in Indersdorf in 2019. The active operator is the Tele Columbus Group with its Pyür brand, which rents the network and supplies customers on site. However, after a subcontractor initially failed to carry out the work, as Deutsche Glasfaser announced, a new construction partner was commissioned: the company “Ne4net”.

This was when the drama really began for the family: the driveway was dug up for nothing, payments were demanded without anything in return, communication was poor, and attempts to blow in the cable failed. At the end of July, an employee of “Ne4net” accidentally rendered a cable unusable, as Christina S. reported. Deutsche Glasfaser promised that the work would continue the following week, i.e. at the beginning of August.

That has now become September. Christina S. announced on Tuesday that a “competent employee” from the Pyür company had connected everything. He had determined that only one connection had a signal. According to S., the technician found that the Ne4net company had connected a patch incorrectly. “Nobody can judge whether this was out of malice or incompetence,” said S. Whatever the case, the Internet connection is now working. “We still can't believe it!” A glimmer of hope for many other Indersdorf residents who have also been waiting for their fiber optic connection for several months, if not years.
