Apple Watch gets new straps: No problems with compatibility | News

Whether the last event brought major innovations for the Apple Watch remains to be seen: The Apple Watch Ultra 2 received a new color option, while Cupertino had no news for the SE model. The Series 10, on the other hand, boasts some useful improvements and has a larger display in a narrower case. Since the online store is available again, you can also find some new straps for the watches in the portfolio: In addition to colors for old products, completely new models are also appearing.

Many new bracelets available
Six completely new bracelets enrich the range in the Apple Online Store, two of which are reserved for the Apple Watch Ultra:

• Milanese bracelet (199 euros): It is available in black and natural and in three different sizes. Apple promises a “space-grade titanium mesh” that is suitable for every occasion.
• Hermès: En Mer (479 euros): The weave of this bracelet is water-resistant and only available in the color “Bleu Nuit.” The clasp is made of titanium.

The portfolio also includes four other Hermès bracelets. As expected, these are not bargains, and the Grand H in particular is likely to elicit a weary smile from price-sensitive customers at best:

• Hermès: Torsade Single Tour (349 euros): The bracelet is reminiscent of nautical chains, two color options are available – “Navy” and “Rouge Grenat”
• Hermès: Torsade Double Tour (479 euros): The strap wraps around the wrist twice. The colors used are “Vert Moyen” and “Rouge Grenat”
• Hermès: Twill Jump Attelage Single Tour (349 euros): With this bracelet, users opt for discretion: According to the description, it is the most delicate bracelet available for the Series 10. The color options: “Noir/Gold” and “Rouge Grenat/Vermillon”
• Hermès: Grand H (999 euros): A rather classic look of a bracelet in the color “satiné” with adjustable stainless steel links and a double folding clasp.

Maximum compatibility given
Apple also added new color options to many of the existing straps. The new products can be pre-ordered now and will be delivered from September 20th. The case size of the Series 10 (42 and 46 millimeters) does not give cause for concern when it comes to compatibility with older straps: these can be used with the new watch. The new straps are also compatible with the older series of the smartwatch.
