Russians attack near Vovchansk, fighting in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk sectors is underway

This is a message from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reports Ukrinform.

“The situation along the front lines remains challenging and tense. The enemy, having suffered significant losses, continues to try to break through the Ukrainian defenses. Today the situation is hottest in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk sectors. A total of 76 combat battles took place during the day,” the post said.

According to the General Staff, the insidious enemy's artillery and air strikes continue in the border areas of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. Today, the settlements of Mykolaivka, Malushyne, Halahanivka, Popivka, Tovstodubove and Oleksandrivka were shelled from across the border. In addition, the enemy dropped up to 20 glide bombs on the settlements of Hremyakh, Pustohorod, Hlukhiv, Richky, Pavlivka and Mykolaivka.

In addition, the occupiers launched eight air raids on the Kursk region today, using ten aerial bombs.

In the Kharkiv sector, the Russian invaders stormed the Ukrainian defense lines near Vovchansk. One battle is still ongoing.

In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy launched five attacks on the Ukrainian positions near Synkivka and Lozova. Ukrainian soldiers are holding the defense firmly.

In the Lyman sector, the Russian army launched 16 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Druzhelyubivka, Tverdokhlibove, Nevske, Makiivka, Novosadove and Torske. Eleven battles have been concluded, and five more are currently ongoing.

In the Siversk sector, near the settlements of Verkhniokamyanske, Hryhorivka and Spirne, the Ukrainian defenders repelled nine attacks by the invading army.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the invaders launched three attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian troops near Ivanivske and Kalynivka. A battle is currently taking place. The situation is under control.

In the Toretsk sector, the number of enemy attacks increased to five. The enemy concentrated its efforts near Dachne, Toretsk and Nelipivka, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled two attacks; three clashes are still ongoing. The Russians are actively using the Air Force in this sector, especially Toretsk and Ivanopillia are subjected to constant bombing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy, with the support of the Air Force, has already made 14 attempts to dislodge the Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Svyrydonivka, Hrodivka, Ivanivka, Novohrodivka, Mykhailivka and Marynivka. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding back the onslaught and have so far repelled 11 enemy attacks, three are still in progress. The enemy's losses are being updated.

Fighting continues near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Ukrainsk, Antonivka and Kostiantynivka in the Kurakhove sector. According to current information, 14 attacks by the occupying army were registered today, three of which are still ongoing.

The enemy has not yet carried out active offensive operations in the Vremivka sector, but is shelling Ukrainian positions and populated areas and launching air strikes.

In the Orichiv sector, the Russians made an unsuccessful attempt to attack Ukrainian units near Mali Shcherbaky.

In the Prydniprovske sector, the enemy made five unsuccessful attempts to drive the Ukrainian soldiers out of their positions.
