LA Kings unveil jersey ad for white sweater

The 2024–25 NHL regular season begins in a few weeks, and that means some previously ad-free hockey jerseys (and helmets) are about to get a little more messed up. On Monday, the Washington Capitals became the latest team to slap an ad on its white sweatshirt.

The Los Angeles Kings have now joined the promotional party and announced a new “official away jersey patch partner” – a company called Iron Bow.

According to the Kings, the agreement is “a new strategic, multi-year partnership with Iron Bow Technologies that represents Iron Bow's first official sports partnership in Los Angeles and underscores its commitment to the growth of professional hockey.”

The jersey advertising is white and has the words “Iron Bow” written in thin black letters. It is placed on the right side of the player's jersey, on the upper chest.

This isn't the Kings' first jersey endorsement. In the fall of 2023, the team sold space on its black home jersey to an insurance company. And the Kings already have an ad from another insurance provider on their helmets.

And just like the Capitals, the LA Kings now have advertising on both their dark and white jerseys as well as their helmets.

The closer the NHL season gets, the more jersey (and/or helmet) advertising we can expect.
