Ken Anderson, co-founder of Scottish production company Wild Child Animation, is stepping down after five years with the company.

Ken Anderson

Anderson was director of exploration and discovery at Wild Child, which he founded in 2019 with managing director Sueann Rochester, creative directors Will Adams and Rory Lowe, operations director Ron Henry and finance director Michael McKiernan.

Anderson is leaving to focus on running TG Entertainment, the brand rights and production company that manages The Brilliant World of Tom Gates book and television series, the latter of which is being produced alongside Wild Child for Sky Kids. He will also focus on producing short and feature-length animated films.

Rochester said: “Ken played a significant role in this early phase of Wild Child Animation and we wish him all the best in his new path at TG Entertainment. While change is a natural part of any business, Wild Child remains fully committed to its clients and our ongoing projects.”

Anderson added, “I am thrilled to be handing Wild Child over to such incredibly talented leadership and a great team of animators, artists, engineers and creative producers who have built Wild Child's well-deserved reputation for excellence during this extraordinarily challenging time.”

In addition to “The Brilliant World of Tom Gates,” Wild Child’s other credits include “Hushabye Lullabye” with Maramedia for CBeebies and “Toad & Friends” with Hoho Entertainment for Warner Bros Discovery.

Currently in production are “Piripenguins” with Eaglet Films and “Red Monk” for the BBC and Italy's Rai, as well as “Jaime's Yoga Adventures” with Cosmic Kids and “Zodiak Kids” by Banijay Kids & Family for Sky Kids.
