Woman drives car through garage in Canton Township and hits man in backyard

CANTON, Mich. – An 81-year-old woman drove her vehicle through a resident’s garage and ended up in another person’s backyard, where she struck a man in Canton.

The incident occurred on Monday (September 9) at 2.38pm in the area of ​​Saltz Road and Redfern Street.

According to authorities, the woman was driving west on Saltz Road and approaching Redforn Street when her red 2014 GMC Acadia veered south off the road.

On the way to the backyard, she crashed into the garage and hit the man.

According to police, the man suffered serious injuries that were not life-threatening, but everyone involved was taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

The Canton Police Department Accident Investigation Team was called to investigate the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
