Instead, other Australian dancers, Holy Molly, Hannah and G-Clef, also occupy places in the top eight of the rankings. In an interview with “The Project”, Gunn explained that she still does not want to compete for a while: “Dancing was my medicine, but then it became the source of my stress.”

The fuss surrounding her appearance at the Olympics and the latest developments have made Gunn a well-known and controversial figure. According to “news.com.au”, she has already been considered for the next season of the TV show “I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” and has teamed up with a marketing agency. In the show, celebrities have to compete against each other on a campsite and complete various challenges.

Breakdance at the Olympics for the first and last time

Breaking War will be taking part in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris for the first time. Frieda, B-girl and scientist at the Cologne Hip Hop Institute, emphasized to “Deutschlandfunk Nova” that the Olympics offered a great opportunity for the visibility and professionalization of the dance style. The dancers were judged in battles based on criteria such as technique, musicality and originality. Frieda hopes that the Olympic Games will provide better training opportunities and more sponsorship.

Breaking will no longer be represented at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, even though the sport originated in the USA. Instead, sports such as lacrosse and flag football will compete there. According to “Deutschlandfunk Nova”, Frieda is nevertheless optimistic about the future of breaking and hopes for a return at the games in Brisbane in 2032.
