Woman is hit by a speeding car on her way home in Amroha and thrown several meters into the air; shocking video footage emerges

In a tragic incident, a woman was hit by a speeding car while returning home from garbage disposal on National Highway 9 in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.

The hit-and-run was captured on CCTV. In the video, which appeared on X, it can be seen that the force of the impact was so severe that the woman was thrown several meters through the air before she hit the concrete surface.

According to reports, the woman was taken to hospital by locals shortly after the incident and was transferred to another hospital in critical condition.

She is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Moradabad.

Meanwhile, the police are searching for the driver who did not stop after the collision with the woman and fled the scene of the accident.

The police have registered the case and a team has been formed to nab the accused.

Meanwhile, in another incident, a 32-year-old man was killed and 13 people injured when a private bus carrying them from Delhi to Lakhimpur Kheri crashed into a tree in this district of Uttar Pradesh, police said on Tuesday.

The driver of the private double-decker bus lost control of his vehicle near Fatehganj West early Tuesday and crashed into a tree, it said.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Mukesh Chandra Mishra said police reached the spot and admitted the injured to the district hospital.

Ghanshyam, a resident of Lakhimpur Kheri who worked in a private company in Ghaziabad, died in the accident, he added.

The bus owner is being investigated and the police are trying to find out whether the vehicle had a valid license.
