Police Grand Duchy: Several burglaries in Luxembourg – perpetrators on the run

There have been several break-ins in the south of the country in recent hours. The police announced in a press release that two incidents were reported yesterday evening in Esch/Alzette and Schifflange, in which the perpetrators were able to escape undetected.

The first break-in occurred in an apartment building on Rue de Belvaux in Esch/Alzette. “The perpetrators gained access to an apartment and searched several rooms before escaping undetected,” the police reported.

A short time later, another break-in was reported in a single-family home on Rue du Parc in Schifflingen. “Here, the perpetrators were surprised by the residents as they searched several rooms. They fled with the stolen goods,” and according to initial information, jewelry was stolen. Despite an immediate manhunt, the burglars have so far remained undiscovered.

In both cases, forensic investigators were on site and the police have begun investigations. Information on preventing burglaries can be found on the police website.
