Man and woman arrested after robbery in Derry, man in critical condition – The Irish News

Two people have been arrested as part of a police investigation into an attack in Derry which left a man in a critical condition.

The victim was found with serious injuries in the Sackville Street district at around 9 p.m. on Saturday.

He is still in hospital. Police believe his injuries were caused by an attack.

As part of the investigation, a 30-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were arrested on Monday.

Both remained in custody on Tuesday.

“Our investigations are ongoing and I would appeal to anyone who was in the Sackville Street or Strand Road area between 5pm and 9pm that day and observed anything, or anyone who has CCTV, dashboard cameras or other footage that may assist with the investigation, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference number 1606 06/09/2024,” a PSNI spokesman said.
