3 arrested for sexually abusing a 30-year-old woman in Palghar

Palghar: While the country is in uproar over women's rights following the gruesome case of rape and murder of the junior doctor in Kolkata and the recent case of sexual abuse of minor girls in Badlpaur School, another case of sexual assault has come to light. A 30-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in Nala Sopara. A complaint has been filed and the police have arrested three men in this case.

According to ANI report, the three accused have been identified as Narendra Morya (31), Prakash Singh (26) and Panchraj Singh (35). They were produced before the court and the court has remanded them in police custody for five days, police said.

The Achole police had charged the three under sections 64, 70(1) and 351(2) of the BNS.

Meanwhile, another shocking incident occurred in Badlapur: A 22-year-old woman was gang-raped. Badlapur East police have arrested two people in the case.

Police said a friend of the victim had slipped drugs into her drink. Three were arrested after the victim filed a complaint. The incident took place on September 6 in Badlapur. Police said the victim's friend and she were invited by her to a birthday party.
