Former Ukrainian government advisor Anton Gerashchenko shares videos by Russian military bloggers on X (formerly Twitter) that are said to show explosions in the port of Novorossiysk. Putin had recently sent his ships to Novorossiysk

In recent months, Kremlin chief Putin had the majority of his valuable Black Sea fleet moved from Sevastopol in Crimea to the ports of Novorossiysk and Feodosia. The port city is an important hub for Russian military logistics. Now Putin's ships no longer seem to be safe there either.

Magura V5 sea drones to destroy Putin’s ships

Ukraine has increased its attacks on Russian ships with its Magura V5 maritime drones in recent months. In May, the Main Intelligence Directorate said that these drones had caused $500 million in damage to Russian naval vessels during the war. Regardless, such claims by Ukraine cannot be verified.

The only thing that is certain is that the Magura V5 drone is the “most important and best weapon at Ukraine's disposal” to attack the Black Sea Fleet, said HUR spokesman Andriy Yusov. The military has two other sea drones that can reach Novorossiysk – “Sea Baby” and “Kozak Mamai” – as the “Kyiv Post” recently reported.
