14-year-old student stabbed to death after soccer practice at Jensen Beach High School

STUART, Florida – According to the Martin County Sheriff's Office (MCSO), a student was booked into the Martin County Jail for stabbing another student Monday night after a high school football team practice.

According to a post from the MCSO, the incident occurred just after 6:30 p.m. on the Jensen Beach High School football field. When officers arrived, they discovered that a 14-year-old junior football player had been stabbed in the stomach with a razor blade by another 14-year-old junior football player following a practice game.

The MCSO, which assisted Stuart police in the incident, said the scene has been secured and the stabber will face charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and will be transported to the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice Detention Center.

The stabbing victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
