Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson is reportedly facing new sexual assault charges.

Watson was accused of sexual assault and battery, as well as intentional infliction of emotional distress, in a new lawsuit filed Monday in Houston, according to Mike Florio of NBC Sports. The lawsuit is similar to the nearly two dozen filed against him while he played for the Houston Texans, but the new incident is separate from and unrelated to the original allegations.

The woman filed her lawsuit anonymously on Monday, according to the report, saying the incident occurred when the two were planning to go on a date in October 2020. According to the lawsuit, Watson struggled to find the woman's apartment before the date, called her and began “aggressively screaming and yelling, claiming he couldn't find her apartment and he 'didn't have time for this.'”

After the two were connected and Watson entered her apartment, the woman invited Watson to “sit in her living room while she got ready.” She said she continued to talk to Watson from the bathroom while she applied makeup, but he became unresponsive.

The woman then said she came out of the bathroom and found Watson “completely naked on her bed, lying face down on her stomach.”

“While Jane Doe stood there in shock, Watson turned his head and aggressively insisted that she massage him, pointing to his buttocks,” the lawsuit states. “Jane Doe asked if Watson meant that she should massage his back, but Watson indicated that he wanted his buttocks massaged.

“Jane Doe was scared to death at this point in the encounter. She was in her small apartment with a much larger man and still in shock from Watson's outburst of anger and aggression on the phone. Doe attempted to appease Watson by rubbing his back instead of his buttocks. Watson again insisted that she focus on his glutes. Seemingly frustrated that Doe was only rubbing his back, Watson then turned around, revealing an erection. Watson continued to demand that Jane Doe massage him, pointing from his knees to his groin. Jane Doe froze in fear, not knowing how to reject Watson's advances without compromising her safety. Confused and frightened, she repeated to Watson that she was not a masseuse.”

The woman said Watson then suddenly grabbed her leg, partially undressed her and penetrated her vagina without her consent. Watson allegedly sexually assaulted the woman for several minutes before she finally got out from under him and screamed at him to get out of her apartment, which Watson then did.

Watson was suspended for 11 games in 2022 after facing more than 20 sexual misconduct allegations during his time with the Texans, mostly involving massage therapists. Watson was not criminally charged in any of the cases and has long denied any wrongdoing. He has settled most of the lawsuits filed against him. The NFL also expanded its sexual assault policies and penalties following Watson's suspension.

Watson began his career in the league with the Texans, but then moved to the Browns and signed a record-breaking, fully guaranteed $230 million contract – despite his past allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct. The team has since restructured the contract twice, and Watson's play has come nowhere close to justifying his unprecedented contract. He has only appeared in six games in each of the last two seasons, first due to his suspension and then due to numerous injuries last season. Watson completed 24 of 45 passes for 169 yards and threw a touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's devastating loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

The Browns will also have to keep Watson pretty much out of the game for the next few years. If they release him in 2025, they would be looking at dead cap hits of $172 million, and if they release him in 2026, $99 million. Both would set new records for the most dead cap money in NFL history.

It's unclear how the NFL will handle the latest allegations against Watson. Neither the team, the league, nor Watson have commented yet. However, according to Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson, the NFL will likely treat this as a new case because the allegations are different from his previously settled complaints.
