Based on this information, the Army launched an anti-infiltration operation in the area. After several hours of intense encounters, the terrorists were neutralized. It is believed that these terrorists were preparing a major attack. The White Knight Corps posted on social media platform X that based on information from the services and Jammu and Kashmir Police, Operation Kanthi was launched in Rajouri's Naushera on the night of September 8. During this operation, two terrorists were eliminated and a significant amount of war materials, including two AK-47s and a pistol, were recovered. The Army is still conducting search operations in the area. This development comes just days before the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir and raises concerns that terrorists were planning a major attack either before or during the polling period. The first phase of voting is scheduled for September 18, the second phase for September 25 and the third phase for October 1. The counting of votes will take place on October 8.
