Dawsonville woman killed in Forsyth County Sunday night…

A Dawsonville woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Forsyth County on Sunday evening.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office and Fire Department were dispatched to the intersection of Ga. 400 and Jot 'Em Down Rd. at 9:30 p.m. An initial investigation revealed that a 2014 Toyota Rav 4, driven by Julie Waters Lamb, 72, of Dawsonville, was crossing Ga. 400 when she was struck by a black 2019 Ford F-150.

The driver of the truck, Logan Moye, 30, of Dahlonega, was traveling north on Georgia 400 when the light for the northbound lane turned red. Lamb obeyed the light and began crossing Georgia 400 to continue west on Jot 'Em Down Road. Moye reportedly drove at a speed that made it impossible for him to stop at the light, causing him to strike Lamb's vehicle.

Lamb was pronounced dead at the scene.

The case is still under investigation by the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.
