Huskers receive prediction for four-star quarterback target for 2026

Nebraska football is on a tear after Saturday's 28-10 win over the Colorado Buffaloes, and now there's a recruiting prediction to go with it. Three-star quarterback Michael Clayton, class of 2026, has been predicted to join the Cornhuskers. Steve Wiltfong of On3 made his prediction late Saturday night. Clayton was among the guests at Saturday's game.

Clayton is the 26th.^th Overall quarterback in his class and the 69th.^th Overall players from the state of Florida according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He currently has no crystal ball predictions. Still, his offer sheet is getting more and more exciting. He has a total of 32 offers.

Clayton threw for 1,902 yards, 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions for Edgewater last season. He currently has 264 yards, two touchdowns and one interception heading into the 2024 season.

This is undoubtedly a positive development for Nebraska football. They have been looking to get a quarterback for future classes for some time. At least it seems that Clayton is trending in their direction.
