The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday, September 9, released its first list of 20 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Haryana. The Arvind Kejriwal-led party will not enter into an alliance with the Congress for the assembly elections in the state.

According to the first list of AAP, Anurag Dhandha from Kalayat, Gurpal Singh from Naraingarh, Narender Sharma from Pundri, Amandeep Jundla from Assandh, Bittu Pahalwan from Samalkha, Pawan Fauji from Uchana Kalan and Kuldeep Gadrana from Dabwali will contest.

In addition, the party has nominated Happy Rania from Rania, Indu Sharma from Bhiwani, Vikas Nehra from Meham, Bijender Hooda from Rohtak, Kuldeep Chikara from Bahadurgarh, Ranbir Guliya from Badli, Sonu Ahlawat Sheria from Beri, Manish Yadav from Mahendragarh, Ravinder Matru from Narnaul, Bir Singh Sarpanch from Badshahpur, Dharamender Khatana from Sohna and Ravinder Faujdar from Ballabgarh.

After a stalemate over an alliance with the Congress party, AAP's Haryana party president Sushil Gupta had earlier in the day said the party would announce its candidates for all 90 seats in Haryana if the Congress party failed to forge an alliance with it.

In an interview with PTI Videos, Gupta said that all party members are ready to fight tooth and nail for all 90 seats in the Haryana Legislative Assembly.

“We will release the list of candidates for 90 seats by evening,” Gupta said when asked about the Congress's reply to the AAP regarding the alliance for the elections.

Gupta said his party was waiting for an official response from the Congress, but nothing has come so far. The last date to file nominations for the 90-member Haryana Assembly is September 12.

According to a report by News18, the two sides have now decided not to enter into an alliance after failing to reach a consensus.

Voting in the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections is scheduled for October 5, with the counting of votes to take place on October 8.
