Man arrested after arson and gun attack on his home

A man has been arrested by police investigating an attack on a house in Liverpool.

An attack in Walton on Saturday left the front door ablaze, shots were fired and windows smashed, Merseyside Police said.

No one was injured in the incident, which occurred shortly before midnight on Helena Street.

A 27-year-old man from Huyton was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and is due to be questioned by police.
