More and more people are traveling by train in their free time, as is also reflected in the SBB annual report: in 2023, the SBB transported 1.3 million people a day and was in the black for the first time since 2019. SBB's marketing makes an important contribution to its success with advertising campaigns for new public transport products such as the Half-Fare Plus or, most recently, the sustainability initiative “A little better. A little greener”. It is precisely in the area of ​​sustainability – with modern, environmentally friendly trains and a strong commitment to climate protection – that the SBB is setting standards.
