  • A father, his 34-year-old daughter and his 8-year-old grandson died after a tragic accident in Madhugiri
  • The 14-month-old baby is among the five people who survived the accident with serious injuries and were taken to hospital

Madhugiri – At least six people have died in a terrible accident near Katagondanahalli in India.

According to police reports, the accident occurred on Sunday, September 8, following a head-on collision between two cars.

According to NewsKarnataka, three of the deceased were from the same family and were travelling from their home village.

One of the crashed cars had seven people in it and was on its way from the village of Ethinahalli to Bangalore.

The passengers in this car included Janardana Reddy (62), his daughter Sindhuja (34), his grandson Vedas Reddy (8) and three others.

Nagaruju (34) and Sidhanangappa (35) were in the second car, which was travelling from Bangalore to Karenallahi via Madhugiri.

The force of the collision was catastrophic. Six people died immediately on the spot and five others were injured, including a 14-month-old son.

Reddy, his daughter and his grandson died at the scene of the accident, along with their driver.

13 people die in road accident on Katiola-Niakara road

In another tragic story, 13 people died when their bus collided with a tanker filled with petrol on the Katiola-Niakara Highway.

According to the national monitoring authority, the accident occurred when a truck parked on the road without indicators narrowed the road.

Another 46 passengers also sustained injuries and were taken to hospital for urgent medical attention.
