Bollywood power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcomed their first child on September 8, 2024. With the birth of their daughter, Deepika-Ranveer has started a new chapter in their lives. Fans are now eagerly awaiting the unveiling of her face. Meanwhile, an old video of the new father Ranveer Singh has surfaced in which he talks about being a “girl daddy”.

Ranveer Singh's wish comes true

When Deepika Padukone announced her pregnancy earlier this year, there was an atmosphere of joy among fans online. Whenever Ranveer-Deepika was asked about having kids, both of them said that they wanted to spend their time with their kids after marriage. Amidst all this, a video from the 2021 reality show 'The Big Picture' has surfaced in which Ranveer spoke openly about his dream of becoming a father. Talking about Deepika's childhood pictures, he said, “Give me a baby like Deepika… just let my life be fine.” Ranveer's playful yet heart-touching speech melted fans' hearts and today, the actor's wish has come true.

Also, while promoting his film Jayeshbhai Jordaar (2022), the actor was asked whether he wanted a boy or a girl. Then, quoting a dialogue from his film, the actor said, “When we go to temples, in Prashad we don't choose what we want, but what we get, we become happy. Similarly, I will be happy with whatever God grants me.”

A little angel has arrived at Deepika-Ranveer

Ranveer had previously expressed his desire to become a father to a daughter. Deepika has also spoken openly about her love for children. Earlier this year, in an interview with Vogue Singapore, she said about her upbringing: “Family is very important to her because it is because of them that I am still down to earth despite my success in the industry.” Deepika went on to say that she would give her children the same upbringing. Now the couple has had a girl on September 8, 2024.
