A bus driver accused of sexually abusing disabled children has reacted strongly after being questioned by Daily Mail Australia about the allegations.

Joseph Raymond Saba, 51, is alleged to have sexually assaulted two girls, aged 13 and 14, between January 30 and June 6 this year while driving them to a school in Western Sydney.

He was arrested last Monday at 10:00 a.m. and charged with six counts of intentional sexual contact with a child between the ages of 10 and 16.

Later that day, Saba appeared before Blacktown Local Court where he was granted bail.

Since his arrest, Saba has gone into hiding on a relative's property to avoid media attention at his home in Greystanes.

When approached by a Daily Mail Australia reporter outside a family member's residence on Thursday, grey-haired Saba refused to comment on the allegations against him.

“Get out of here!” he yelled. He was wearing a grey hoodie over a black T-shirt, matching sweatpants and black sneakers, and his right fist and forearm were strangely stuffed into a plastic bag.

“Don’t talk to me!”

Business records obtained by Daily Mail Australia show that Saba has been running a transport business as a sole trader for almost 20 years.

The company was registered under the name Paradise Transport but changed its name to JS Courier Services in July.

Neighbours told Daily Mail Australia they were shocked to hear of Saba's arrest.

They said Saba, known by the nickname “Joe,” appeared “friendly” and waved to residents when he and his partner walked their dog.

The arrest comes just weeks after the Child Abuse Squad of the New South Wales Police State Crime Command launched an investigation in August following reports of alleged abuse of disabled children by a bus driver.

According to the bail conditions, Saba must report to the police twice a week and is not allowed to come closer than 100 meters to the school.

He may also not attempt to contact his alleged victims or any witnesses for the prosecution.

His next court date is scheduled for September 19.
