My analysis
The Los Angeles Dodgers turn the ball over to right-hander Jack Flaherty, who should be a good candidate for relief. In 24 starts this season, he has a record of 11-6 with an impressive 3.01 ERA and 1.04 WHIP.

His underlying numbers are equally impressive, as the right-hander ranks in the 73rd percentile or higher in xERA, average exit velocity, strikeout rate, walk rate and hard hit rate. That success will likely continue against the Cleveland Guardians, a team against whom he has a 1.50 ERA in his last five meetings.

Additionally, Cleveland ranks in the bottom half of the league in hits per game, BA, OBP, SLG and OPS. The good news for the Guardians is that they have one of the best pitching staffs in baseball, starting with right-hander Tanner Bibee.

Bibee is 11-6 with a 3.56 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP in 27 starts this season. His analytics are also strong, with the right-hander ranking in the top half of the league in xERA, average exit velocity, strikeout rate, walk rate, barrel rate and hard hit rate.

Following Bibee is a bullpen that ranks in the top three in ERA, FIP and xFIP. Not that Los Angeles' relief staff is far behind, considering it ranks fifth in ERA. Take the under.

My analysis
Shohei Ohtani can still have a solid game and stay under that total, which correlates well with the under. Yes, Ohtani is one of the best hitters in the world, but it will be difficult to get two hits in this matchup.

First, he has a career record of 0-3 with two strikeouts against Bibee. Second, Bibee is followed by one of the best bullpens in baseball that can handle Ohtani, too. He has one or fewer hits in five of his last seven games.

Daniel Schneemann Under 0.5 hits

Another hitter who will be weaker on Sunday and fits well with our under is Cleveland's Daniel Schneemann. He has no hits and two strikeouts in five at-bats against Flaherty.

His underlying numbers for this time period are equally poor, as Schneemann has an xBA of .028 during this time period. He also enters this contest in poor shape, having failed to score in three of his last four games.
