15-year-old dies after botched operation by fake doctor in Bihar

In a tragic incident in Bihar's Saran district, a 15-year-old boy lost his life after undergoing a disastrous operation to remove gallstones. The procedure was performed by an unqualified doctor, who is now on the run. The incident took place at the Ganpati Seva Sadan clinic in Madhaura, run by one Ajit Kumar Puri, who is accused of posing as a doctor.

The teenager was brought to Puri's clinic by his family on Friday evening, where he was treated for vomiting and severe abdominal pain. Although the boy's condition worsened, Puri had him operated on without the family's consent or knowledge. It is alleged that Puri relied solely on YouTube videos for the operation.

As the surgery progressed, the boy's condition deteriorated significantly. Family members, alarmed by his deteriorating condition, confronted Puri, who reportedly dismissed their concerns by remarking, “Am I the doctor here or are you?” The situation escalated when Puri decided to take the boy to a hospital in Patna. Tragically, the teenager died before reaching the hospital. Puri and his accomplices left the boy's body at the hospital and fled the scene.

The family has filed a formal complaint with local authorities, accusing Puri of gross negligence and malpractice. They claim he was unqualified and unexperienced and that his reckless actions directly contributed to their son's death. A complaint has been filed against Puri and his hospital staff, and police are actively searching for them.

The boy's body has been sent for autopsy to ascertain the exact cause of death. In the meantime, the clinic remains under surveillance and efforts are being made to trace Puri and all the staff involved.
