Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are happy about their first child

Popular Bollywood couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh became parents of a baby girl on Sunday. The duo, known for their on-screen chemistry in films like “Ram-Leela” and “Bajirao Mastani,” shared the happy news on Instagram: “Welcome baby! 9/8/2024.”

Industry colleagues like Alia Bhatt, Arjun Kapoor and Ananya Panday congratulated the new parents on social media. The comment sections were filled with heartfelt congratulations and celebratory emojis. “Laxmi aayi hai!!! The queen is here,” said Arjun Kapoor, while Ananya Panday wrote, “Baby! Congratulations.”

Deepika, 38, and Ranveer, 39, who tied the knot in 2018 at Lake Como in Italy, were spotted praying at the Siddhivinayak Temple just days before the birth of their child. The couple announced the pregnancy in February, sending fans into a frenzy. They will next be seen in a special cameo in 'Singham Again', which is slated to release around Diwali.
