The eighth season of the popular quiz format “Who’s stealing my show?” is starting. These celebrities are taking part.

“Who's stealing my show?” is back on TV screens (from September 8th every Sunday at 8:15 p.m. on ProSieben, one week before on Joyn). In the eighth season of the quiz show, a musician, a comedian and a podcaster compete against Joko Winterscheidt (45) to steal his show.

Podcaster with his own TV show

Tommi Schmitt (35), born in Detmold, studied media communication and journalism and completed an internship in the press department of his favorite club, Borussia Mönchengladbach. He has also worked as an author for various comedy shows such as “TV Total”. He dropped out of his master's degree in Hanover and concentrated on comedy. In 2017, he began his successful career as a podcaster, starting “Gemischtes Hack” together with comedian Felix Lobrecht (35). The podcast regularly tops Spotify's top 10 lists and has won awards such as the German Comedy Prize.

Tommi Schmitt not only started another podcast with “Copa TS”, in which he focuses on his passion for football. In recent years, he has also been increasingly drawn to the TV camera. He was in the second season of the Amazon comedy show “LOL: Last One Laughing” and in the ProSieben shows “Das Duell um die Welt” and “Joko & Klaas gegen ProSieben”. After his own ZDFneo show “Studio Schmitt”, he followed “Neo Ragazzi”, a joint talk show with Sophie Passmann (30). For the 2024 European Football Championship, he was also part of the ZDF documentary “Heimvorteil”, in which he accompanied players on their way to being nominated for the European Championship.

Musician with acting talent and big hit

The artist Nina Chuba (25), born in Wedel, began her career in public with acting roles. At the age of seven, she played the role of Marie Krogmann in the series “Die Pfefferkörner”. She was also seen in “Notruf Hafenkante”, “Letzte Spur Berlin” and “Das Traumschiff”. Nina Katrin Kaiser, as she was born, started her musical career in 2016 in the band Blizz. After moving to Berlin in 2018, however, she devoted herself to her solo career under her stage name Nina Chuba.

Initially in English, she released her first song in German in 2021. In 2022, she would have her breakthrough with a German-language song: “Wildberry Lillet” made it to number one in the German singles charts. In 2023, Nina Chuba released her debut studio album “Glas”, which includes songs such as “Mangos mit Chili”, “Glatteis” and “Ich hass dich”. The musician has already received the “1 Live Krone” several times, including in the “Best Artist” category. In 2025, she will go on her first major arena tour.

Comedian and honest author

Kurt Krömer (49) is an old hand in show business. Alexander Bojcan, born in Neukölln, initially appeared in the capital under his pseudonym, which is characterized by a Berlin accent, suit with suspenders and glasses. He appeared on TV in 2004 with his first own late-night show. After “The Kurt Krömer Show” (rbb), formats such as “Bei Krömers”, “Krömer – Die internationale Show” and “Krömer – Late Night Show” followed. From 2019 to 2022, the show “Chez Krömer” ran on rbb in seven seasons, which repeatedly caused a stir with controversial guests and in which Krömer was also clearly shown what he thought of the attitudes of his guests.

He also became known to a wider audience through the Amazon comedy show “LOL”, in which he took part several times. Krömer can also be seen on the theater stage as an actor and his film roles include appearances in the comedy “An Island Called Udo” (2011) and “Bibi & Tina – Simply Different” (2022). With “Feelings” he has his own talk podcast with celebrity guests. In an episode of his show “Chez Krömer”, the recovering alcoholic spoke openly with Torsten Sträter (57) about his depression, about which the father of four also wrote the book “You must not believe everything you think: My Depression”.

The concept of “WSMDS”

In eight quiz categories and three prize levels, the candidates, three celebrities and one wildcard candidate, try to make it to the final. After each prize level, a show must be left. At the end, presenter Joko Winterscheidt then competes in a direct duel against the remaining person – and may lose his show in the final quiz with presenter Katrin Bauerfeind (42).

The winner can present “Who's stealing my show?” in the following episode according to their own ideas. Winterscheidt switched to the other side and tried to win back his show. In the last episode of the previous seasons, the winner was able to look forward to their own cover on a puzzle booklet or to have their forehead immortalized on the “Walk of Brain”.
