Two cars roll over in Whitesboro, three people thrown from the car

WHITESBORO, Texas (KXII) – A serious car accident caused traffic to stop and required two rescue helicopters to arrive at the scene.

The Whitesboro Fire Department received a call at 11:47 p.m. on Friday, September 6, regarding a two-car rollover traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 82. A total of three people were ejected from their vehicles.

Two were flown to Medical City Plano Hospital and the third to Texoma Medical Center. The highway was not reopened until 2 a.m. Whitesboro Police, Sadler Fire Department and the Texas Department of Transportation were on scene.

The condition of those involved in the accident is unknown and the cause of the accident is being investigated.
