Colleagues in China, both married to other people, were fired for kissing in the office and are now suing the company

Two colleagues sued their company after they were fired for having an affair and openly kissing at work.

The man, known as Liu, and the woman, identified as Chen, were both employed in the same department of a pharmaceutical company in Sichuan province, southwest China, according to an Aug. 28 report by City Locale.

Their affair came to light when Liu's wife shared their chat histories with the company's tennis chat group and the general manager in March 2020, leading to her subsequent dismissal.

The recordings contained messages such as “I love you” and “I want to look at you all the time.”

After their affair was exposed, Liu asked for leave to “handle family matters,” and Chen's husband confronted her and Liu in front of her colleagues.
