Man (20s) arrested after stabbing in Cork city centre – Homepage

Gardaí have arrested a man in connection with the stabbing that occurred at the junction of Grand Parade and Oliver Plunkett Street in Cork city on Friday.

A man in his late 30s was attacked at the intersection of Grand Parade and Oliver Plunkett Street shortly after 5pm yesterday.

When police and emergency services responded to the attack, he was found at the scene with serious injuries.

He received medical treatment at the scene and was then taken to Cork University Hospital, where his injuries are described as serious but not life-threatening.

The man, aged in his 20s, was arrested this morning and is currently being held at a Garda station in Cork city under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

The investigation is ongoing, the Gardaí said.
