Environment Canada: Special weather notice in effect for Ottawa

According to Environment Canada, a special weather advisory is in effect for Ottawa this Saturday, predicting heavy rainfall of between 30 and 50 millimetres.

The weather agency expects the heavy rain to stop this afternoon.

According to Environment Canada, lower than average temperatures are forecast for this weekend.

Highs of 17°C, partly cloudy skies and a 40% chance of rain are forecast for this afternoon. Lows of 7°C and a 40% chance of rain are forecast for this evening.

Lows of 14°C and a 40 percent chance of rain are forecast for Sunday. Clear skies and lows of 7°C are forecast for the night.

Sunny temperatures and highs of 20°C are forecast for Monday. Clear temperatures and lows of 7°C are forecast for the night.

Tuesday will also remain sunny with maximum temperatures of 22 °C and minimum temperatures of 11 °C.

The average temperatures for this time of year are a maximum of 21 °C and a minimum of 11 °C.
