Man injured in stabbing at State Street apartment

ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – A man was injured in a stabbing at a State Street apartment on Saturday night.

Rochester police said they responded to a report of a stabbing on State Street near Morrie Silver Way around 1:15 a.m. and found a 43-year-old man with at least one stab wound to his upper body.

The man was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by AMR with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the stabbing occurred during an altercation between the victim and suspect at a State Street apartment. No suspects are currently in custody.

Rochester Police are asking anyone with information to call 911.
