Georgetown County man allegedly forced woman to perform sexual acts at gunpoint

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A Georgetown County man is behind bars facing sexual assault charges.

The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office said Daniel Griffin was charged with sexual abuse, kidnapping and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Online booking records show he was booked Friday.

The sheriff's office said Griffin is accused of luring a woman to his home on Saints Delight Road before pulling out a gun and allegedly forcing her to perform sexual acts.

Authorities added that the firearm used by Griffin turned out to be stolen and that additional arrest warrants were being sought.

As of Friday evening, online records show Griffin being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center.
