Rapper Badshah talks about his separation from ex-wife Jasmine

Rapper and singer Badshah is best known for hits such as DJ Waley Babu, Genda Phool, Sanak, Buzz, Jugnu and Mercy. The 39-year-old singer recently spoke about his divorce from his ex-wife Jasmine Masih. He also talked about his relationship with his daughter, who lives in London.

In a podcast of Prakhar ke Pravachan, Badshah said, “We both tried everything. We tried our best and gave everything we had. We separated because it was not healthy for our child. I meet my child but not that often as she lives in London.

Badshah further explained that his relationship with his daughter is extremely friendly. “She was at my concert. My dad is cool. He's very cool. But she's not a fan. She listens to Blackpink. As a musician, it's a little painful to buy merchandise from another musician for your own child,” said the singer.

Badshah also spoke about his definition of love and relationship. He said, “For me, love is caring for someone without judgement. Caring is the greatest form of love.”

He further explained that a relationship is a duty, a job that is extremely complicated. “Spending your life with someone is a job. Especially if you want to stay in a zone where you want to be happy and not be disturbed. So when you enter into a relationship, it is a job to balance those opinions. I think my parents are heroes because I would not be able to do that,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Badshah was said to have been in a relationship with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. However, the latter stated that Badshah was just a “good friend”.

“Badshah is a great friend. Aside from his Badshah personality, he is such a nice, simple human being. He is a nice person and just so genuine. I think that is a commonality and that is why we are friends. Honestly, when I am down and not posting as much, he asks, 'What's wrong, what happened?' So that happens too,” she told BBC Asian Network.
