Gang arrested for raping women under the pretense of employment

A professional gang that lured women with the promise of good jobs and then sexually abused them was arrested by police in Lahore.

Authorities managed to rescue a woman and her nine-month-old daughter who had fallen victim to the gang's fraudulent tactics.

According to police, the gang, led by individuals including Ayesha alias Iqra, Usman and Naeem, targeted a woman living in Kahna. They persuaded her to travel to Murree on the pretext of securing an attractive job opportunity. On arrival, the gang took the woman's young daughter hostage and sexually abused the mother.

The victim's husband was alarmed by the sudden disappearance of the two and reported a kidnapping to the Kahna police station.

SSP (Investigations) Dr Anush Masood said that after intensive investigation, the police managed to find and rescue the woman and her child, leading to the arrest of the three suspects involved in the crime, including a woman.

“The suspects brought the 20-year-old woman along with her daughter to Murree under the pretext of an attractive job,” she explained.

According to the SSP, those arrested confessed to committing similar crimes against other women seeking work.

The investigation is ongoing and authorities are determined to uncover the full extent of the gang's criminal activities and bring all those involved to justice.
