What was going on there? Young people on e-scooters kicked a man in Alsfeld in the Vogelsberg region. The police launched an appeal for witnesses.

Alsfeld – As the East Hesse Police Headquarters in Fulda announced on Thursday (5 September), according to current information, a dangerous bodily harm occurred on Tuesday evening around 9 p.m. in Carl-Metz-Straße in Alsfeld in the Vogelsberg district.

According to the police, at around 9 p.m., a 63-year-old man from Alsfeld was driving on a dirt road between Alsfeld and Eudorf (extension of Carl-Metz-Straße). At the same time, a group of several young people on e-scooters approached from behind.

“According to current information, they pushed the Alsfeld man off his bike for reasons that are still unknown. The unknown assailants then kicked and beat the 63-year-old before fleeing,” reported police spokeswoman Sandra Suski.

The man from Alsfeld informed the police shortly afterwards and went to a hospital on his own the following day for medical treatment.

The officers asked witnesses who can provide relevant information to contact the Alsfeld police station on (06631) 9740 or any other police station.

The next day, a ten-year-old girl was injured in an accident in downtown Fulda, according to police. The child was hit by a car.
