This is not the new smartwatch

There is currently an image doing the rounds that is supposed to show the new Apple Watch Series 10, which Apple will present on Monday. It comes from the beta for iOS 18.1 and is supposed to show the current design, only with significantly thinner display edges.

But this is not the Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple has not integrated it into a beta of iOS. It is the old and familiar Apple Watch Series 9, but according to 9TO5Mac, the watch and watch face are loaded separately and this is a bug:

I also came across “leakers” on social media last night who sold this as the real deal of the Apple Watch Series 10 and somehow it made the rounds. But even without 9TO5Mac, you would have recognized that this is a fake.

Apple uses a new watch face for each new generation to promote the Apple Watch Series 9. It is unlikely that this will be used for the Apple Watch Series 10. There are some leaks and rumors, but there are still many unanswered questions about the new Apple Watch.
