Couple charged with sexual exploitation of children

SOMERSET, Ky. (WYMT) – A Pulaski County couple faces charges in connection with an investigation into child sexual abuse materials.

Christopher Sean Ethridge and Amy Sativia Ethridge were arrested around 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

Officials with the Kentucky State Police (KSP) Electronic Crimes Unit said they discovered that Christopher allegedly shared sexually explicit images of children online.

Christopher was charged with first-degree sodomy with a victim under the age of 12, a Class A felony punishable by 20 to 50 years or life in prison.

He was also charged with one count of sexual use of a minor under 16, one count of promoting sexual use of a minor under 16, nine counts of distributing material depicting a minor under 12 in a sexual use, and one count of procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means. These charges are all Class B felonies, punishable by 10 to 20 years in prison.

He was also charged with 20 counts of possession of material depicting a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance. Possession of material depicting a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance is a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison.

Amy Ethridge was charged with use of a minor under the age of 16 in a sexual performance, solicitation of a minor under the age of 16 in a sexual performance, distribution of material depicting a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance, and solicitation or solicitation of the use of a minor by electronic means. These charges are all Class B felonies punishable by 10 to 20 years in prison. She was also charged with 20 counts of possession of material depicting a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance. Possession of material depicting a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance is a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison.

Christopher Ethridge and Amy Ethridge were taken to the Pulaski County Detention Center.
