Long prison sentence for fatal knife attack in Bingen

After an argument with a neighbor, a fatal knife attack occurs in Bingen. A Syrian now has to go to prison for years.

Around eleven months after the fatal knife attack in Bingen-Büdesheim, a 32-year-old man has been sentenced to 13 years and six months in prison. The Mainz district court sentenced the man for manslaughter, two counts of attempted manslaughter and grievous bodily harm. The prosecution had accused the Syrian of killing a man with a knife last year. Other opponents were also injured.

Neighbours are said to have reprimanded the Syrian

Before the crime, the man is said to have had an argument with a neighbor, who, according to the prosecution, reprimanded him. On the day of the crime in Bingen-Büdesheim, the neighbor was on his way home with two friends in a pickup truck. When they saw the defendant, a 26-year-old confronted the 32-year-old. The 32-year-old is said to have then attacked the man with a knife and stabbed him 17 times. The man died on a dirt road.

Attack also with fog fork

Another man also suffered stab wounds and serious injuries before he was able to jump into the car and initially escape with the driver. The two drove into a yard. Shortly afterwards, the accused appeared there and attacked again, using a pitchfork among other things. Another neighbor was finally able to take the knife away from the attacker.
