Collision in Burlington claims two lives

A man and a woman died in a car accident in Burlington last night.

Halton police said it happened just before 1 a.m.

Police, fire and paramedics responded to the accident at Guelph Line and Lowville Park Road.

According to reports from the scene of the accident, firefighters rescued two people from the vehicle.

According to reports, a dog also died in the collision.

Pictures from the scene of the accident show a badly damaged vehicle lying crumpled on the side of the road.
