Amazon plant spin-off about Frances Neagley

With “Reacher,” Amazon has landed a hit series on Prime Video. That’s why they are now working on a first spin-off, which will revolve around Frances Neagley.

The successful series adaptation of the “Jack Reacher” novel series by Lee Child, entitled “Reacher,” is enjoying great popularity on the US streaming service Prime Video. Not only the protagonist played by Alan Ritchson, but also the character of Frances Neagley, has proven to be a favorite among viewers.

Maria Sten in the leading role

Reacher's former military comrade, who now works as a security expert, is played by Maria Sten. The actress is now set to lead the cast of a spin-off to “Reacher.” This is reported by the US magazines Variety and Deadline, citing insider sources. Amazon has not yet officially confirmed the project. Accordingly, no plot details are available yet.

According to reports, Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton are responsible for developing the spin-off with the working title “Neagley”. Santora is already starting as the creative head of the parent series and will also work as showrunner and executive producer for the spin-off. Like “Reacher”, it is a co-production of Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television and CBS Studios.

Guest appearance by Alan Ritchson

Even though Maria Sten will soon have her own series in her role as Francis Neagley, she will continue to be part of the cast of “Reacher.” Her participation in season 3 has already been announced. This is based on the novel “Persuader,” the seventh book in the series, in which Neagley does not actually appear at all.

Sonya Cassidy, Anthony Michael Hall, Johnny Berchtold, Robert Montesinos, Brian Tee and Daniel David Stewart join the ensemble around Ritchson, who will again make a guest appearance as Reacher in “Neagley”.
