Who is Jenn Tran?

Tran, 26, is a “Bachelor” alum and the first Asian American “Bachelorette” lead in the show’s 22-year history.

“Jenn Tran is a sweet and compassionate woman who has dedicated her life to helping others,” Tran's Bachelorette bio reads. “The bilingual Vietnamese beauty currently lives in Miami and is ready to find love with a man who is as reliable and thoughtful as she is.”

In an interview with USA TODAY, Tran said she “felt a lot of pressure” as the first Asian-American Bachelorette, adding that her acceptance was a “very historic moment.”

“This is a moment that many people have been waiting for,” Tran said. “And it means a lot to us because we are working toward change.”

Tran, who is training to be a medical assistant, also said that the role was not easy for her and that she suffered from imposter syndrome.

“I just never saw myself as the main character before,” Tran said in an interview. But now she realizes: “The perfect Bachelorette is simply the person you are deep down and you being yourself.”
