14 hours and 5 victims: Mobile thieves run amok in Delhi, 2 stabbed | Delhi News

Mobile robbers wreaked havoc in Mayur Vihar within 14 hours, targeting five people and stabbing two of them to death. Police have filed a complaint and identified some suspects while investigations are on to nab the culprits.

NEW DELHI: Within just 14 hours mobile grippers ran amok in Mayur Vihar In Delhi and surrounding areas, they struck within a two-kilometer radius, targeting five people, two of whom were stabbed to death.
police said the cases were being investigated with the highest priority and that some of the suspects had already been identified.
On September 1, Ram Sewak Singh (52), an employee of a private company, had gone to a temple in Mayur Vihar Phase I. At around 4 pm, two youths on a red motorcycle came from the Chilla side and snatched his phone.
On the same night, another person was attacked nearby. 21-year-old Rahul was on his way home in an e-rickshaw and was talking on the phone. Two young boys on a black scooter allegedly approached him and the pillion rider snatched Rahul's phone.
In the third incident, Avninder Parihar, a lawyer who had come to the city for a meeting, was staying in a hotel near the district centre Mayur Vihar. He was taking a walk outside the hotel when someone snatched his phone.
The fourth incident occurred on September 2 at around 12:10 am. Pravesh Haad, a 28-year-old man, was leaving his house to buy groceries when three men tried to snatch his phone. When he resisted, one of them stabbed him from behind.
In the fifth incident, which took place on September 2 at around 6:20 am, a 24-year-old man named Vineet was attacked by thieves as he left home on his bike to go to the gym. Three men on bikes approached him and tried to snatch his phone. When he resisted, they stabbed him.
The police suspect the involvement of the same people in both Stabbings.
