Donald Trump: Former president uses dead people in election campaign: Harris has “blood on her hands”

Donald Trump is not above using dead people for his election campaign. He sharply attacked Kamala Harris, saying she had “blood on her hands”. Under his leadership, that would not happen, says Trump.

Once again, Donald Trump has found decisive words. The target of his attack is, of course, US Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump will run against the 59-year-old in the US election in November 2024 after becoming US President Joe Biden had withdrawn from the race at the end of July. Trump has not yet responded to his advisor's requests that he refrain from personal attacks against Kamala Harris. A new example now makes this clear.

On the network he co-founded Truth Social raged against Trump once againAfter the Russian army recovered the bodies of six hostages in the Gaza Strip at the weekend, the 78-year-old said:

  • “Make no mistake – this happened because comrade Kamala Harris and corrupt Joe Biden are bad leaders.”

Campaigning with dead hostages may be a new low for Donald Trump. But he did not let this opportunity go to waste.

With Trump as president, the hostages would still be alive

Then Donald Trump declared in his usual rhetoric, very similar to his statements on the Ukraine war, that things would never have gotten this far under his presidency. He could have guaranteed the safety of the hostages, Trump said emphatically:

  • “She [Kamala Harris und Joe Biden, Anm. d. Red.] have blood on their hands[…]Our country and our wonderful people are not safe under Joe Biden and will be even more unsafe under Kamala Harris.
  • He continued: “This terror would never happen if I were president, and it will stop the day I am back in the Oval Office. America will be strong again, and that will make the world safe!”

Trump's angry post came after Biden and Harris spoke with the parents of a slain hostage. Harris had previously posted a message about her phone call with the grieving parents.
