“OTHELLO” starring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal sets Broadway dates and theaters

The return of Tony Award® winner and two-time Academy Award® winner Denzel Washington and Tony Award nominee and Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal to Broadway in William Shakespeare's Othello has found their Broadway home and set dates!

Directed by Tony Award winner Kenny Leon and starring Molly Osborne as “Desdemona,” the production will be performed at Broadway's Barrymore Theater. Previews begin on Monday, February 24, 2025, with the premiere taking place on Sunday, March 23, 2025. The strictly limited engagement at the Barrymore lasts 15 weeks and ends on Sunday, June 8.

The last time Othello was performed at the Barrymore was almost 90 years ago, when a production was given as part of the repertory of Macbeth in September and October 1935.
