Police: Shots fired during attempted armed robbery at McDonald's

According to Baltimore police, an attempted armed robbery occurred at a McDonald's in Lauraville on Tuesday.

Officers responded to an armed robbery in the 4600 block of Harford Road around 5:15 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found that a suspect had entered the store and approached an employee and demanded money, police said.

The clerk, a 38-year-old woman, was attempting to open the cash register when the suspect fired a gun and hit a wall.

No one was hit or injured in the incident.

The suspect fled in a vehicle and no money was stolen.

According to police, the suspect was described as a black man with a muscular build.

The investigation is ongoing.
